About Petersen Sports Complex

The Petersen Sports Complex had been a vision of panther athletics since 1999 and was finally brought to fruition in 2011. The $16.5 million project is home to Pitts’ men and women’s soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and softball teams. This 12.32- acre multi-sport athletic facility is a three-story building that houses offices and support space for 5 out of 19 teams at Pitt. In 2021 the university renovated the space by adding the third floor, a 1,400 square foot athlete lounge, team meeting rooms, a new 2,000 square foot state of the art training facility, and a 400 square foot nutrition station. It also houses locker rooms for each sport as well as an indoor batting practice facility for baseball and softball players.

Son had a ⚽ camp. Nice field

Field was beautiful. Parking is on the street, and this Sports Complex is on a hill. You're going to walk uphill sooner or later. Not good for arthritic knees. Seats were acceptable, but spacing between rows is a little narrow. I'm 5'11", and my knees were right behind the head of the person in the next row, and my feet were somewhat tu ked under my sest.
